Bangladesh Railway PNR Status Check – Quick Facts

Bangladesh Railway PNR Status Check, verify train ticket booking, check ticket status, purchase history, and official e-ticket verification online

Method 1 — Purchase History (Your Account)

1.

Go to the official Bangladesh Railway e-ticket portal and sign in using your registered mobile number and password.

Use your registered mobile number and password. If you booked through the Rail Sheba app, the same login credentials work on both platforms — they share one account system.

2.

Open your account dashboard

Once logged in, look for a menu option labelled Purchase History or My Tickets. This lists every booking made on your account, most recent first.

3.

Select the specific journey

Click on the relevant ticket to see full details — train name and number, journey date, seat and coach, fare paid, and current status (confirmed, used, or cancelled).

4.

Download or view your e-ticket copy

From the same screen, you can usually re-download the ticket PDF if you lost the original email or SMS. This is the same document you would show at the station.

If you need to understand your coach and seat details before travelling, our Bangladesh Railway Seat Plan guide explains how to find your assigned seat.

Method 2 — Official Ticket Verification Tool

  • Payment went through but no confirmation arrived — log into your purchase history first; the booking is often there even if the SMS or email was delayed. If it genuinely is not listed and money was deducted, the amount is refunded automatically by your bank or mobile financial service provider, typically within about 8 business days. If your booking is cancelled or you are eligible for a refund, read our complete Bangladesh Railway Ticket Cancellation and Refund guide to understand the refund process and timelines.
  • Lost the ticket copy — check your email’s spam or junk folder first, since confirmation emails occasionally land there. If it is still missing, download a fresh copy directly from purchase history after logging in — no need to contact support for this.
  • Booked through Rail Sheba but want to check on the website, or vice versa — both platforms run on the same backend account system, so any ticket purchased on one is visible by logging into the other with the same credentials.
  • Bought a ticket from someone else (resale or transfer) — use the official ticket verification tool to confirm it is genuine before relying on it, since Bangladesh Railway tickets are generally non-transferable and travelling on someone else’s booking can cause problems at the station.
  • Suspicious of an app or website asking for a PNR number — close it. Bangladesh Railway’s system does not use a separate PNR code, so any tool built around entering one for this network is either misunderstanding the system or attempting to collect your information under false pretences.

After confirming your booking, you can also use our Bangladesh Railway Live Train Tracking guide to check your train’s real-time running status before leaving for the station.
